The HOP Garden in High Spen, a few km from my house, is a community run project on an allotment. People can take part in garden activities and pick the produce. I have swapped surpluses with them before so last weekend we headed over there with a large quantity of quail eggs, of which we have a significant surplus, and traded for their surplus redcurrants and windfall apples. A very useful exchange. The redcurrants will be made into fruit liqueur, jam and jelly. The apples will be used to make sweet mince for Christmas. The rhubarb will possibly go into pies or jam.
We continue however to have a surplus of quail eggs. We are planning to use some to make mini gala pies.

Would quail eggs make tiny buffet sized pickled eggs? In my head they would look rather sweet in jars.

Yes, they pickle easily. We pickled a panload of eggs last year.
